I'd like to walk into a warehouse carrying a suitcase of solenoid hammers. I'd then place them around the building, on the metal parts that sound sweetest when hit with small hammers. If the solenoid hammers were wireless, we might even get the audience to play using their cell phones. I can even see someone poking his iPhone with a stylus, to accompany the Anarchestra with solenoid hammer rhythms.

Perhaps people can join the jam from remote locations, in real time, with eJamming or NINJAM softwares (NINJAM audio archives).


Tan Dun integrated a lot of individual YouTubes from around the world, to realize his classic score in a larger YouTube Symphony mash-up.

Later MTT (Michael Tilson Thomas) brought all those musicians together to play the piece live, in Carnegie Hall. Perhaps if you view the solicitation video it makes a little more sense.
